The United States Postal Service (USPS) has proposed postage rate increases for various services, set to take effect July 13, 2025, pending approval by the Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC). Here’s a summary of the key changes based on available information:
Mailing Services (Market Dominant Products)
- First-Class Mail Forever Stamp: will increase by 5 cents, from 73 cents to 78 cents.
- Metered Mail (1 oz.): Will rise from 69 cents to 74 cents.
- Domestic Postcards: The cost will increase by 6 cents, from 56 cents to 62 cents.
- Marketing Mail/Standard Mail will see the 5 Digit SCF Letter rate going from 31.8 cents to 35.4 cents which is an 11.3% rate increase.
