Vice President of Operations at DMR, making mail is in his blood. As a teenager, his first part time job was direct mail. He was given a phone book, a few thousand postcards, and tasked with handwriting, stamping and mailing out these cards. He attended Binghamton University, the number one ranked public university in New York, and graduated with a BS in Management with a concentration in finance. His relationship with mail continued during college as he worked seasonally at a Publisher's Clearing House facility on Long Island, sorting mail, and then at the age of 23 officially entered the direct mail industry. At a mailing and fulfillment center in New York he climbed the ranks of the company, eventually becoming computer services manager.
His next chapter would land him in Missouri, and he would find himself quickly back in the direct mail and print world, in the capacity of Data Processing manager for the largest mail shop in Springfield. Then, that fateful call would come in June 2001 from DMR seeing if Mr. Baumann would be interested in the operations manager role. After assessing the potential of such a move, he upped and moved his young family to Houston.
As the company grew from it’s humble beginnings, Anthony’s role eventually evolved to Vice President of Operations. Anthony overseas all facets of DMR operations, ranging from it’s digital department with 2 four color presses and 4 black print only machines, to a full bindery house that can handle any aspect of a direct mail project. He can be seen on a daily basis inspecting the jobs in process to ensure all client needs are handled in an efficient and timely manner. He is proud of the hundreds of thousands of pieces of beautiful mail DMR produces on a daily basis and extremely happy with the crew that he has helped settle as the foundation of the company. Now, with over 25 years of experience in the mailing and printing industry, Anthony is uniquely suited to draw from his vast experience so that when he says something is going to happen, he will find a way to make it happen, every time.
Away from the shop, Anthony loves to travel and explore the world with his wife, read, talk stocks, golf and from time to time can be found at the roulette tables around the country, praying for black-31 to hit.
