During a spring cleaning in our warehouse, we discovered DMR’s first inkjet addressing machine, the Bryce 16K, tucked away in the racks. Back in 1999, the Bryce 16K was a mid-range tabletop inkjet address printer in DMR’s line of postal addressing equipment, designed for high-volume mail printing, including envelopes, postcards, and labels. Powered by Hewlett-Packard’s early high-resolution inkjet cartridges (like the 51645A), it could print up to 16,000 pieces per hour. The 16K marked DMR’s early transition from mechanical addressing machines to digital inkjet technology in the postal automation industry.
